Supported by the SR. Sales Manager, the Estimator runs the full cycle estimating process through collaboration with peers and leader to ensure consistency and accuracy in quotes, and with hand off to the PM’s, ensuring awarded bids have all the relevant information, including detailed budget information, and information is organized for the PM to partner with the Foreman for successful execution on projects. You are a critical thinker, ensuring materials, equipment, and all labour quotes are accurate to optimize profit and cost. You also recognize the importance of great customer service delivery, ensuring you can effectively present to Customers and answer questions and complete follow up in a timely manner.
You support the Sr. Sales Manager in executing on the operational priorities, including proactively supporting the Sales funnel on project bids. We are a learning culture, so we will also support you in learning more about Project Management and Field Operations at TGE.
Core Responsibilities:
- Effectively run the estimating process from completing take offs, obtaining material and subcontractor pricing, finalize internal labour costs, equipment, and materials for each estimate
- Accurately finalize packages for submittal
- Effectively complete follow up and close on all potential project leads/bids to meet targets confirmed with your Leader
- Complete proper transfer to Project Manager by ensuring package of all information including any new work that has not been done in a project you have had before is clearly identified and continue to support PM and Foreman on job as questions arise to keep project on track, for time, profit and cost
- Partner to support new customer relationships and new initiatives that improve practice and process to grow the business
- Other duties to deliver on the mandate of the position

Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years experience working in estimation for landscape construction or a blend of field and estimation experience, including demonstrated experience on take off and estimation software.
- Good understanding of project management function
- Self starter and team player, focused on delivering solutions to both customer and internal stakeholder problems
- Customer Focused, internally with peers, leaders and others and externally for current and future customers
- Business acumen
