Supported by the Field OPS leader, as the Landscape Construction Foreman at Total Ground Effects you plan, organize, and deliver top quality client and team experiences. You are a good leader of both work and team members to deliver exceptional work. You can positively engage and motivate in a growth mindset, successfully engaging your exceptional team, your peers and customers. Your primary focus is to produce and oversee all work and lead your team as planned, while successfully executing on customer expectations, and project deliverables.
You support the Field OPS leader by continually improving on directing effective and efficient processes and leading your team on Total Ground Effects best practices. You are also a learner and are committed to living the values of integrity, hard work, caring for others, professionalism and continuously learning from the Sr. Foreman and the Sr. Trainer so you can learn to effectively teach others and support our ability to be the #1 choice for builders in our respective fields.
Responsibilities:
- Lead projects and your team to be successful
- Accountable to partner with Sr. Foreman and Sr. Trainer for ongoing learning on improvements to make on projects and team skills
- Effectively partner in planning meetings with Sales & PM lead and engage with your Team Lead, crew and others to ensure a solid project plan is in place to successfully execute
– Forecast project needs to maintain efficient/effective crew scheduling and materials needed per job; Effectively communicate forecast to Team Lead
– Complete Daily on-site start up meeting to ensure team and materials effectively organized
– Collaborate with Purchaser to order and maintain on-site materials required
– Partner with the Sales & PM lead to ensure most current drawings are utilized to complete projects accurately
– Ensure proper tools and equipment required to complete site, ensuring all safety standards are met
- Actively participate in training to continuously improve your leadership and technical skills
- Actively participate in training to improve on all safety standards
- Engage in continuous improvement processes with team, peers, Sr. Foreman and Sr. Trainer
- Support engagement and following of all policies and practices, utilizing the Support functions to ensure effective leadership engagement
- Operational leadership:
– Mental and Physical Safety is a focus: ensure that all crew members consistently utilize required personal safety equipment as needed, but more importantly know how to safely work and you utilize HR for other resources to support your team; Ensure that all safety and maintenance processes and rules and company safety policies are adhered to
– Collaborate with customers to ensure customer satisfaction
– Lead by example in completing work and mentoring Team Lead and crew members in a positive manner
– Lead by example in attendance and work ethic
– Work effectively with the all team members to execute on projects
– Communicate well with all team members, management, and customers to support a positive and engaging culture, effectively demonstrating the values, principles and culture of growth in all you do
– Monitors all tools, equipment, and machinery for needed maintenance

Required Experience:
- Minimum 4 years experience in landscape construction
- Minimum 2 years of demonstrated success managing teams
- Valid driver’s license and clean drivers abstract
- Experience driving a truck with trailer and operating landscaping equipment is an asset
